
Pawsitivity Winners had a fantastic time in our school trip to Medieval Times, immersing themselves in history and enjoying the spectacle! Our Pawsitivity Initiative is a way to celebrate and recognize students who contribute to a pawsitive environment at LICHS in and out of the classroom. Our Lobby was transformed into an Art Gallery and the Auditorium was full for our Spring Arts Festival!




We are excited to announce that Senior Shadow Day will be Friday, May 22nd. On this day, seniors can shadow teachers, administrators, and other staff members to explore potential careers in education and beyond.
Seniors must ask a staff member ahead of time if they’re open to being shadowed and must submit a signed permission slip to Mrs. DeStefano by May 21st.

This year's Senior Trip took place at Funplex in New Jersey, where seniors spent the day making memories with arcade games, bowling, laser tag, go-carts, bumper cars and more! It was a day full of fun, laughter, and unforgettable moments! 🎟️🎳🎢🎡

Student Government Elections have officially begun! Students interested in running for a position in the Student Government, should complete the "Intent to Run" form.
Being a part of the Student Government is a great way to build leadership skills, get involved, and open doors for exciting opportunities.
Once you complete the "Intent to Run" form, please wait for an email from Mrs. DeStefano with your next steps and additional information.

A big thank you to Zone 126 for hosting and coordinating the annual LICHS Holy Guacamole Event, allowing our students chefs to compete in a guacamole competition. Even Superintendent Tu was excited to help judge the delicious competition!








Our LICHS Students had a fantastic time during the Bulldog Bash on the field today! This celebration of our students occurred during 8th and 9th period with multiple activities and games for students to engage with others, learn cooperation, and enjoy some Spring Weather!

The event is open to LICHS staff; current students, their family and friends; and 8th grade students and families who are interested in attending LICHS next year. Our College Now Fair is happening! Our fantastic Social Studies team is bringing their 10th and 11th grade classes down to talk to our wonderful College Now Instructors to learn about course offerings for next year and the fantastic benefit of earning College Credit for free while in high school!

This is an amazing opportunity to hear a world-famous conductorless orchestra in one of the most famous music venues in the world. Any questions, Please see Ms. Cruz.

The Long Island City High School Marching Bulldogs have been invited to participate in the inaugural Louis Armstrong High School Jazz Festival on Saturday, May 2 at 2pm. The festival will be at Queens College in the LeFrak Concert Hall. Tickets are free, but do need to be reserved in advance.
