Congratulations to 4 members of our LICHS Concert Band on their selection to the NYC Honors Music Festival this weekend. Jaqueline Robles, Isla Parian, River Fugiel and Victoria Gultom will be playing at the festival tomorrow. If you would like to attend the concert, go to the Grand Street Campus in Brooklyn at 2pm -- admission is free for students. Congratulations!
Food Pantry Distribution is today from 2pm to 4pm outside room 649.

Monday, March 30 – March Into Spring: Wear florals, pastels, or your favorite spring outfit
Tuesday, March 31 – Squad Day: Match with your friend group
Wednesday, April 1 – Teacher-Student Swap: Students dress like teachers, teachers dress like students
It’s a great way to welcome the spring season! Yearbook photos will be taken throughout the day.

Seniors are invited to join us for a fun, creative event as we get ready for the senior trip! Bring in a pair of jeans and customize them with decorations. You bring the jeans, we supply the decorations!
The event will take place on Monday, March 30th and Tuesday, March 31st during your lunch period. Stop by, get creative, and show off your senior style on the upcoming Senior trip!

On March 3rd, the LICHS community came together for a meaningful Iftar event, where students, families, and staff gathered to break fast, share a meal, and celebrate community and culture.
Straight into the woods we went… 🌲✨ Our talented cast and crew wowed audiences during Into the Woods on March 6th & 7th. Incredible performances, unforgettable moments, and so much school pride. Bravo to everyone involved! 🎭👏
Students had the opportunity to connect, ask questions, and learn from accomplished women across a variety of fields during the Women's History Month Chat & Chew hosted by Zone 126.
In honor of Women’s History Month, we spent this week spotlighting incredible female alumni from Long Island City High School who are achieving great things in their careers, education, and beyond. Students at Long Island City High School recently participated in a Black History Month "Chat & Chew" hosted by Zone 126. The experience offered valuable career insight and inspiration for our students.
Long Island City High School had the privilege of welcoming Holocaust survivor Alice Ginsburg, who shared her powerful and moving testimony with our students. Thank you AP Garcia, Ms. Murphy and Ms. Weisman, for arranging this impactful opportunity.

Participatory Budgeting results are in! Long Island City High School is proud to announce the winners of this year's Participatory Budgeting! Over 470 students voted this year, a record voter turnout and the student who presented the top three projects were celebrated with chicken and waffles during a ground-breaking check presentation ceremony!









Our Community and Culture Team is bringing some festive cheer to the Main Lobby! Not pictured but instrumental in helping: Windy DeStefano, Alexis Nivens, Jose Manzano, Jocelyn Oviedo, Calo Downing, and Sal Genna.


On Friday, December 5, students were able to cash in their Bulldog Bucks from Marking Period 1 to select their prizes. See the Pawsitivity Initiative Page for more information about how students can earn Bulldog Bucks for contributing to a pawsitive LICHS!
